ANNUAL PURSUIT RACE

Notice of Race
 
 
The race will be governed by the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) and any amendments thereto.
The Prescriptions of the Irish Sailing Association (ISA), the appropriate Class Rules this Notice of Race and the sailing instructions. The marks of the course will be the DBSC conical marks. By kind permission of (D.B.S.C.) In the event of any conflict between the Notice of Race and the Sailing Instructions, the Sailing Instructions shall prevail.
 
Eligibility and Entry Requirements
 
All Boats owned and helmed by members of the RIYC will be eligible to enter the race and the schedule is as follows: 
      
Warning Signal 18.15 Preparatory Signal 18.20
 
Start Signal (see below)
 
Boats will start at the times as scheduled and posted on the Notice Board outside the changing rooms. 
The course will as shown on the committee boat and will be announced on Channel 71
 
PRIZES
 
The Don Richardson Perpetual Trophy will be presented to the first boat to finish.
 
Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
 
Prizes will be presented at Supper in the Club after the race, the price is €27 per person - pay on the night.
 
Entries shall be on the entry form attached and shall be accompanied by the entry fee of €20.00. The declaration on the form shall be signed by the boat owner or his/her authorised representative and returned to The Sailing Manager, ROYAL IRISH YACHT CLUB

DECLARATION I wish to enter the above named boat in the End of Season Race and I agree to be bound by the Racing Rules of Sailing, the Prescriptions of the I.S.A., the Class Rules (where applicable) and the Sailing Instructions. I accept that the participation of the above named boat in the Regatta is at my sole and exclusive risk in every respect. By this entry I hereby indemnify the Royal Irish Yacht Club, and their officers, members, servants and agents in respect of all claims and demands of whatever nature which may be made upon them in connection with or howsoever arising from the participation or intended participation of the above named boat in the Event, and I acknowledge that the Royal Irish Yacht Club, and their officers, servants and agents accept no responsibility in respect of loss of life, personal injury or loss of or damage to property which I or any other person may sustain by reason of the participation or intended participation of the above named boat in the Open End of season Race or howsoever arising in connection with this event. Each participating shall be insured with valid adequate third-party insurance with a minimum cover of €1,2700,00 and will undertake to produce a valid certificate of insurance upon request
