SAILING SERVICES 2018

Pontoon Berthing: Pontoon berths are available to members on a seasonal or annual basis. Members wishing to stay afloat during the winter months may relocate from their mooring to the pontoon for the winter months.

Swinging moorings: Swinging moorings are available for members’ boats up to 10 tonne.

Dry sailing services: The Club operates a dry sailing service for members’ boats. These range from SB20’s to Cruiser 1 (Max LOA 11m , Max weight 5 tonne)


Deck parking: Available for all classes of dinghies. It may be necessary to request members to remove boats and equipment temporarily from the Club premises (or to move boats from one part of the Club's premises to another) in circumstances where the RIYC is hosting an event (or partly or jointly hosting an event).

Short-term deck storage: This is to facilitate members who want to lift their boats ashore for scrubbing, inspection, anti-fouling, etc.

Electricity: 220-volt outlets on deck. No charge for casual use of drills, sanders, polishers. See overleaf for the de-humidifier charge.

Scrubbing: The boathouse, on specific request, will arrange to have your boat collected, scrubbed and returned to its berth/mooring. There will be a charge for this.

Life Jackets: It is the policy of the Club that all members and their guests must wear personal flotation devices when using the Club’s vessels.

Charges: It is Club policy to receive payment for Berths/Moorings in full with Application. You can make payment by Cash, Cheque, Card or online. Please see Application form for more details.

Works: Any works carried out by the Bosun and his team outside of normal duties required to execute the works schedule outlined in this charges sheet will be charged at €30.00 per/hr of part thereof.


RIYC CRANE CHARGES


Charges per crane lift, or for a scrub
(lift out, hang on crane, lift in)

• Up to 2 tonnes €45.00
• 2 to 3 tonnes €55.00
• 3 to 4 tonnes €70.00
• 4 to 5 tonnes €85.00
• Plus per tonne thereafter €15.00
• Engine lift: €35.00

Mast Lift – Boat length O/A
• Up to 6m €40.00
• 6m – 10m €50.00
• 10m & over €60.00
It is expected that the mast is ready for extraction. Any works required by the boathouse staff to ready the mast for removal will be charged at €30 per/hr

Short-term deck storage
(Max 4 days during summer, 1 week during winter)

• Per day: under 10 metres €22.00
• Per day: 10 – 15 metres €34.00
• Mast Storage per week €12.00

(Includes free use of Club cradle – subject to availability. Use of the Club cradle is at the member's own risk.)

Scrubbing charge: Collect, scrub and return boat €74.00
Steam Cleaner: per ½ hour €16.00
Non-attendance fee: For lifting or launching €37.00

Temporary mooring charges: These are calculated on a monthly, weekly or daily basis, as a percentage of the full season rate.

Deck Fines: For leaving boats or trailers on the deck without permission or after their term is up – per day €16.00


De-humidifiers: Per season use (i.e. Winter or Summer) €125.00

 

RIYC FEE SCHEDULE 2018

The following mooring/berthing/dry sailing fees will apply for summer 2018, from 20th April and extends to 1st October.

A. RIYC Marina Berths: €385 per metre – Annual Rate (12 months)

€335 per metre for Summer Season

B. Swinging Moorings: €188 per metre for Summer Season

If payment has been made for an RIYC marina berth and one cannot be allocated due to excess demand, a swinging mooring will be allocated, if desired, and a refund made for the difference in price.

C. Dry Sailing: Includes deck storage and lifts in/out for Thursday and Saturday racing.

D. Deck Parking for 2018 Summer Season April 20th up to October 1st, 2018

Please note it may be necessary (when requested by the Sailing Services Manager) for dinghies and equipment to be temporarily removed from the deck by the relevant owner prior to and for the duration of major events.

Terms and Conditions

  • All dinghies and their equipment must be kept at all times in a neat and tidy manner on the deck in their allocated area.
  • After sailing, sails and all equipment must be removed from the deck and stored in the boat under a securely fitted cover.
  • Breach of the above regulations may result (inter alia) in the Sailing Committee requesting the dinghy in question to be removed from the deck at the cost of the owner and future requests for storage may be denied.


To ensure allocation of RIYC marina berth/mooring/parking/dry sailing, completed applications with full payment must reach the Club by 12th March 2018

YACHT AND BOAT OWNERS – FOLLOWING WINTER STORAGE, PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOUR YACHT/BOAT IS READY FOR LAUNCH BY 3rd April 2018 OR AS SOON AS REQUESTED BY THE BOATHOUSE STAFF. ALL YACHTS/BOATS AVAILING OF WINTER STORAGE MUST HAVE VACATED THE DECK BY 20th April 2018. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN DAILY FINES BEING APPLIED.
